Ah, fall. There’s just something so magical about the cooler weather, golden leaves, and — at least for us beauty lovers — seasonal nail art.
A deep wine or classic French will never go out of style, but there isn’t a bad time to opt for unexpected fall nail trends. This year our summery bright orange hues turn darker, our reds go vamp and we’re all about moody forest shades. Also on trend? Playful takes on French manis, inventive uses of negative space, and lots and lots of chrome polish. But don’t worry if you’re more of a traditionalist—there are still plenty of solid but far from boring neutrals trending, as the temps (slightly) cool off too.

Every season, there’s a color that takes the industry by storm. This go-around, it’s safe to say red will be a big one for fall and winter. This season’s runways were dominated by one color: rich red, which popped up in practically every show.
